Welcome to Out from the Horrorbox! With your no clip host Dom Higuera!
In this episode, we take a look at the 2026 science fiction psychological horror film directed by Kane Parsons (in his feature-length directorial debut), The Backrooms!
Clark, a recently divorced furniture store owner, accidentally discovers a portal in his store's basement that leads to an infinite, liminal dimension of yellow hallways and unsettling emptiness. After narrowly escaping an unseen creature, he recruits his assistant manager and her boyfriend to document the space on camera as proof of his discovery. The trio quickly becomes separated when the same entity attacks, killing one and chasing the others deeper into the labyrinth. Clark's therapist Mary goes to investigate the store, and enters the other space in a desperate rescue attempt. After traversing into the labyrinth, Mary is taken into custody by the mysterious Async Research Institute, which has been secretly monitoring the space for years.
